Night at the Museum

Join us for a night where history comes alive at the museum!

Meet historical figures from the New Boston Fair, the George Rogers Clark Heritage Association, and the Clark County Historical Society during an entertaining evening of music, dancing, and living history!

Ladies in hoop skirts will mix with farmers from the 1920’s as the stories of Clark County will be told by those who used the artifacts in the museum in their real lives. The Shawnee will tell about their lives in this area. Shoppers will walk the streets of 1940’s Springfield. Chickens will hatch again in the Buckeye Incubator. The Battle of Peckuwe will be remembered by George Rogers Clark and Chief Black Hoof. Dancers will grace the entry hall. The infamous Fair at New Boston “Ratcatcher” will make sure that no “vermin” will bother visitors. The military section will come to life with uniformed soldiers from the Revolutionary War to modern times.

Refreshments and entertainment from the Springfield Dulcimer Club with be in the Hellmuth Rotating Gallery on the second floor following each tour.

Tours depart every 10 minutes and last approximately 55 minutes. Final tour departs at 9:10PM.

Nonmembers: Adults-$12, 18 and under-$5
