The Clark County Historical Society will present the seventh Springfield Civil War Symposium in its commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the American Civil War. Distinguished speakers in this post-war program will address the impact on the United States during the years in this conflict. The era of reconstruction will be examined by Dr. Mark Grimsley, while Dr. Nicole Etcheson will discuss the effect of the war on home front families. Dr. Ethan Rafuse will explore the roles of Stonewall Jackson and Kansas in this conflict. Dr. Thomas Taylor will review the contributions of Springfielder J. Warren Keifer.
