CVB Releases 7-Year Review

The Greater Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau recently presented a 7-year retrospective of their work, and economic impact on the community. Among the key takeaways:

  • The local economic impact of tourism has increased from just over $300M in 2011, to more than $400M in 2017.
  • Lodging tax receipts have increased from $550K in 2010, to more than $1M in 2017. 
  • The CVB has received more than 60 statewide and national awards for marketing excellence. 
  • The CVB has provided its local tourism partners with more than $150K in direct sponsorship.
