Community Conversations: Bias

November 13 / 2:00 pm

FREE and open to the public, these events will stream online and take place in the gallery (COVID permitting) at the Springfield Museum of Art during the exhibition BLACK LIFE as subject MATTER II. Conversations are moderated by artists from the exhibition, community leaders, and Museum staff following the topics and questions presented in the online resource "Talking About Race" (https://nmaahc.si.edu/learn/talking-about-race) from the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. The Springfield Museum of Art is a Smithsonian Affiliate. Scheduled topics for each event may shift pending national events and moderator in-put. All voices are welcome; hate speak will not be tolerated. The Museum's goal is to foster open and production thinking and conversation about race in our community, inspired by the artworks in the exhibition.
