Lois Lenski - Storied Prints: Opening Reception and Lecture

Join us for the Opening Reception for Lois Lenski – Storied Prints. Springfield-born illustrator and children’s book author Lois Lenski was a Newbery Medal award recipient, publishing more than 98 books during her lifetime. Her works, such as Strawberry Girl, Phebe Fairchild, and Indian Captive, are beloved by children and adults alike.

Following the reception will be a lecture by Bobbie Malone from 6:15 to 7:30pm. Bobbie is the author of a popular biography titled Lois Lenski: Storycatcher, which won the 2016 Indies Editor’s Choice Prize in Nonfiction. This event is FREE for SMoA members; $5 for non-members.
