Spinning fiber to weave garments or interlacing plant materials to cover our bodies is an ancient tradition since the beginning of man. Come visit the Yellow Springs Arts Council Gallery June 22 through July 14th to see what is ancient and very new in Fiber Arts.
You can join us June 21st 6-9 PM for a reception and refreshments to help the Weavers Guild of Miami Valley celebrate their 70th Anniversary. They are a nonprofit, educational organization promoting hand weaving, spinning and other textile arts.
You will see new and old fibers, plain weave, pattern weave and knitting. Whether it is a collage for the wall, a garment to wear, fabric to sew, or just the feel of hand-spun yarn in a basket, you could find something of interest, please join us.
