Noted pianist Christopher Durrenberger will inaugurate a new series, “Concerts at Christ Episcopal Church,” on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 3 PM at Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield. Dr. Durrenberger, Director of Music at Christ Episcopal Church, will perform Mozart’s Sonata in B-flat major, K. 570, on a John Lyon forte piano, a modern replica of the instrument Mozart owned.
Other works on the program are Chopin’s Polonaise in A-flat major, Op. 53; Copland’s Four Piano Blues; and Gershwin’s Preludes for Piano.
