In 1929, Hugh Taylor Birch donated a wooded glen to Antioch College in Yellow Springs in memory of his daughter, Helen — and that gift grew into one of Ohio's most beloved natural preserves. Glen Helen now spans 1,000 acres, threaded by 25 miles of footpaths that wind through ancient forest, past springs, and along the Little Miami River.
