Built in 1890 and extending an entire city block, the Heritage Center Museum occupies one of Springfield's most striking Richardsonian Romanesque buildings. Inside, the collection faithfully tells the story of America's Heartland and the historic National Road — drawing around 30,000 visitors a year. Admission is free. Come curious.
