This free tour showcases nine places on the South Side of Springfield that have been repurposed or revitalized as community gardens or neighborhood parks. Visitors can enjoy tasty freshly picked vegetables, learn gardening and cooking tips, listen to music, participate in games and activities or just enjoy the beautiful spots.
The nine featured places are Gammon House, Green Environmental Outreach, Hartman Rock Garden, Innisfallen Inspiration Garden, Jefferson Street Oasis Garden, Keep Clark County Beautiful Sunflower Field, Melrose Acres Urban Agriculture Project, Promise Neighborhood Visioning Garden, and Woodward Avenue Family Park.
